January can be a something of a trying time you never know what the weather might do, the month is aptly  named after Janus the god with two heads, and that's two heads  looking in different directions, that should explain a thing or two about the unexpected temperament of the month of January. January can start mild and then suddenly turn into a bitter cold savage and storm filled day,  snow and ice can abound all around us, but at the same time in a contradictory way, many of us can see the beauty of the snow and ice covered landscapes that surrounds us, we find ourselves cursing the weather one minute, and in the next minute we are enthralled by the magnificent splendour of the scenery.
