Bigrunner
The absurdity of some of the comments made on here could of course only be made by those sad stressed out Labour supporters who are just unable to accept the fact that Labours day’s are over. Labours value to the U.K is now worth less than a used and worn out dish cloth.
The remnants of what used to be the Labour party are now running around like a clutch of frantic headless chicken’s all disarrayed and shell shocked.
Labours hopes and dreams are now torn to shreds their future plans demolished their dreams of power and glory gone.

Once a great party of the people, now just an empty shell with no realistic plans for the future they will be lucky to recover from this.

Jesus mate, you're like, the new Oscar Wilde or Shakespeare or something!
Have you got a publisher yet?

ukulak to Bigrunner
Give the poor guys a break, they will find this out in their own time.

Alan Lane to Bigrunner
Labour = Junckers gofers!!!

Stellabk to Bigrunner
So says the party which has just gone from two MPs (both defected from the Tories) down to one and failed to get their leader elected.
Now you might like to go over the GE results again and count up how many Labour MPs got elected.
UKIP is the political equivalent of Leeds United. Lots of supporters telling you what a big club it is but it's still in the lower divisions because it just can't get the results.

Bigrunner to Stellabk
Your really are at a loss with nothing of substance to offer I don’t even know who you are supposed to be politicaly supporting but I do know you have a serious fixation on UKIP.

Harrowmont to Bigrunner
LAbour's days are over ? How many votes did Labour get? and UKIP ? You are absurd.

Bigrunner to Harrowmont
I can’t understand why you refer to UKIP strange that when I never even mentioned them.

Zorroman to Bigrunner
Labour should merge with the Liberals.
Labials ?

Bigrunner to Zorroman
Kiss and become friends - they deserve each other.

Bigrunner
David Miliband is steering well clear of the contagion spread by these failed Labour politicians in case he also becomes infected by their desire for self destruction and he is a wise man to do so.

Bigrunner
Opinion Polls like it’s been proved so many times before are useless, a good example was this May’s election the pollster's practically admitted it.
It’s a fact all they do is manipulate public opinion they never truthfully report public opinion.
Self interest is at the heart of everyones decision when they enter the ballot box to vote, anyone saying otherwise is deluding themselves or are a downright liar.
AynBrand to Bigrunner
Nope, I'd personally be better off under the tories but I'm not a fucking selfish bastard.
Bigrunner to AynBrand
I don’t understand your logic, you say you would be better of under the tories.
If you voted for the tories and was therefore better off…How does that make you selfish ?

Tania26
Spot and indeed on.
And I say that as a not at all shy Tory.
The self interest point has always interested me. Everybody votes, in some regard out of self interest. It's only bad when those identified as right wing do it!
Bigrunner to Tania26
It would be ridiculous not to vote in your own interest
Bigrunner
So you would like maybe for the workers to own the machines and all the factories also own all the raw materials.

Bigrunner
When you possess nothing but the clothes you stand up in, then self interest seems to me a sensible option.

Brigid Parkin
Yes, Lionel Shriver should be ashamed - her article places her in the camp which believes that self-interest (and not even its enlightened form) is the only basis for political conduct. My allegiance is to those who believe we have a duty of care to all 7 billion of us, and the planet we live on.
Bigrunner to Brigid Parkin
You need to take care of yourself both mentally and physically before you can consider helping others that’s  the logical thing to do.

Fallowfield to Bigrunner
Could you be upside down yourself then? Or perhaps me. We are in Lewis Carroll territory here I suspect. But the leather has a gorgeous touch, and the style is wonderful. The best bit of leather I have ever seen was on a guy at the bar. Very WWII, pilot, but much newer. I commented on it. He told me he had bought it in Berlin, from the people who had made them for German elite pilots in the war. I backed off a bit. His partner, a very nice woman, whispered to me that he had seen active service in his army career and sometimes gets a bit sensitive. Fair enough.
Bigrunner to Fallowfield
You tell a good fairy story better than Lewis Carroll.
Anyway maybe you could add this to your repertoire.
The sun was shining on the sea,
  Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
  The billows smooth and bright
And this was odd, because it was
  The middle of the night.
Fallowfield to Bigrunner
Not a poet of my cognisance. A bit of doggerel has its place I guess, although it is better than that.
Folk knowledge has astonishingly ancient roots, so I might think that this bit of nonsense refers to the 'battle in heaven' between the original matriarchal and incoming patriarchal principle, brought from India.
In your verse Apollo struggles against any moon goddess you care to name.
Dodgson would have understood all this.
A fairly good maths man too.
Bigrunner to Fallowfield
I agree with you that Dodgson would have found this bit of doggerel conceivable.
Fallowfield to Bigrunner
Hey, a Cheshire boy like me. 'Thick in arm and thick in head' as they used to say. That was before universal education of course.
Bigrunner to Fallowfield
Nowt wrong wi it, tha should be prard o thi accent.

Buildbetter to Bigrunner
Nothing but the clothes you stand up in, a wardrobe full of trainers, a 52 inch tv etc etc
Bigrunner to Buildbetter
Whats your point ?
Acamar
When a party attacks the vulnerable, and is voted for the comfortably-off, I know that our democratic system needs to be torn down and replaced with something better.
Bigrunner to Acamar
Would you like maybe for the workers to own the machines and all the factories also own all the raw materials ?
