The Bricklayers Arms in Leeds

After reading a review about this pub Bricklayers Arms in Leeds, I decided yesterday that I would pay the pub a visit, this would of course be a first time visit, in fact I don’t ever remember knowing of it’s existence and this made it intriguing to me because it’s no more than about 15 minutes from Leeds City centre and practically next to Hyde Park/Woodhouse Moor.

Somehow I had the feeling that this pub would be closed or pulled down and house’s or something else built on it’s former site, but it was still there yet closed like the photo shows.

Leaving the Former Bricklayers Arms I went to the top of the road and turned left onto Woodhouse Moor or Raglan Road and called into the Library pub this was a first time visit to this pub and the outside and the inside are quite stunning, it was deserted mainly because I think they had just opened the doors for the start of the day’s trading, anyway I didn’t stay because no one came to serve me, so I can’t comment on their offerings and headed off back into Leeds past the University calling into the Fenton Public House where a pint of Tetley’s cost me £1.70 and a very nice pint it was, the pub itself is somewhat of a bygone age and there was only about six in there, but I believe this pub is very well served later on during the day and night.
